What kind of certification do I get after finishing a course?

Upon successfully meeting the course requirements (like attendance and assessment), you will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. This certificate is issued by QD Academy.

Funding and Grants

1. What kind of grants or subsidies are available for your training courses?

Our courses are SkillsFuture registered. Please note that the grants will be differ depending on your age, citizenship status, individually sponsored or company sponsored.

2. Are there any funding options available for course fees at QD Academy?

Yes, QD Academy offers various funding options including SkillsFuture funding, Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS), and Absentee Payroll (AP) funding for eligible individuals and organizations.

3. How do I apply for Absentee Payroll (AP) funding for training courses at QD Academy?

There is no need to apply separately for AP funding. It is automatically computed and deducted from the course fee. Employers need to declare their employees’ hourly salary information to claim AP funding.

4. Can SkillsFuture Credit be used to offset course fees at QD Academy?

Yes, eligible Singaporeans can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fees at QD Academy by submitting a claim through MySkillsFuture.

5. How are payments and grants handled?

Ensure course fees are fully paid before attendance. Grants are disbursed via PayNow. Track attendance and assessment for grant disbursement.

6. What funding options are available for payment?

Use Initial SkillsFuture Credit and Additional Credit for course payments. Provide a screenshot for SkillsFuture Credit approval. Please note that Singapore PRs aren’t eligible for mid-career subsidy funding.

Attendance and Certificates

1. What if I miss a class?

You may attend a makeup class within 60 days from the start date of the first class session. However, starting from January 1, 2024, SSG no longer requires a minimum 75% attendance for course fee funding and absentee payroll funding.

2. Is there a minimum attendance requirement?

No, starting from January 1, 2024, SSG no longer requires a minimum 75% attendance for course fee funding and absentee payroll funding. However, attending all of our sessions enhances learning and performance in assessments.

3. Where can I access my certificate upon completion?

Certificates are issued via OpenCerts starting July 1, 2024. Access them through the MySkillsFuture portal.

Skills Future and Other Programs

1. What is SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) and how can I use it at QD Academy?

SkillsFuture Credit is a benefit for Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above to pay for out-of-pocket course fees for work-skills related courses. You can use it at QD Academy by submitting a claim through MySkillsFuture.

2. How do I check my SkillsFuture Credit balance?

You can log in to your SkillsFuture Credit account at MySkillsFuture to check your balance.

3. When must I submit my claim for SkillsFuture Credit for a course at QD Academy?

You should submit your claim via MySkillsFuture within 60 days before the course start date (inclusive).

4. What is SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) and who is eligible for it?

SFEC is aimed at encouraging employers to invest in enterprise and workforce transformation. Employers meeting specific criteria such as contributions to Skills Development Levy (SDL) and employing Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents are eligible.

5. Is QD Academy a registered training provider with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG)?

Yes, QD Academy is a registered training provider in Singapore, offering courses aligned with the national SkillsFuture movement.

6. What is SkillsFuture and its significance?

SkillsFuture is a national movement providing opportunities for Singaporeans to develop skills at different stages of life, contributing to lifelong learning and workforce development.

7. What is the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ)?

WSQ is a national credential system that trains, develops, assesses, and certifies skills and competencies for the workforce, supporting the SkillsFuture movement.
